Replying to a Text Forwarded to Your Second Phone

Easier alternative: If you want natural replies without remembering special commands, forward to an email address instead.

When you forward to a second phone, replying is a little harder. You need to tell PhoneLeash who the reply should go to, using one of two prefixes.

Method 1: tls (To Last Sender)

Prefix your reply with tls to send it back to the most recent person who texted you. For example: tls running late.

Watch out: If anyone else has texted your PhoneLeash phone since the message you're replying to, tls will send your reply to that newer sender — not the original one.

Method 2: @number

Prefix your reply with @ and the recipient's phone number, no spaces between the @ and the number. For example: @2223334444 hello.

The recipient sees only your message text — the @2223334444 prefix is stripped before the text is sent. They won't know you replied from a different phone.

Picture Messages (MMS)

Both methods support sending pictures. Just attach an image to the message before sending.
